July in Jail - UPDATE

Trees are already changing color due to weather Progress !
What little rain we have received, washed all the seed to one area.
Changed the fencing to keep dogs happy. Slight difficulty for someone to back out of drive without removing fence or driving on new grass.
Jailed in July, that is what happened to Farley and Javier. A fence between garage and house, and 2 more, running from house west to lot line and garage east to lot line, (aka 'invisible fence') This necessary to keep them off my attempt to seed a new lawn.
Large expanse of bare ground (10,000 sq ft.) no rain, cool condition (nights in low 40's) caused the grass to grow so slooooowly. Watering took 3 hours up to twice daily.
After 2 weeks, this is it ! Then a major setback. Before much seed could germinate, a rainstorm one night, washed away all the remaining seeds. I still need to water daily hoping that some seed remains and will grow.
On the other hand, mom's flowers and plantings are doing Great !
She even created a porch room.
4th of July at the Landing. Small group, LOTS of fireworks, check out the video at the end. Mike and helpers do a great job !
