Once again a trip to PV was necessary as Sophia withdrawal is approaching 3 months. We drove in a blizzard between Wausau and Eau Claire, wondering how long the ride would be to Minneapolis. Leaving for the MSP airport at 4 a.m. in shorts, flip-flops, and 34 deg temps may sound crazy, but knowing that in a few hours it would be 80 something, made it well worthwhile. Sophia met us at the airport, (with her parent tag-a-longs). Pablo loaded the car with extra heavy luggage; seems most of what we take to Mexico actually stays there. Clothes for Sophia, replacement laptops, clutch parts for Scoobie, Easter candy for all, and left behind gifts from Christmas, etc. This trip was about Sophia-sitting, a couple of days of sandy beach time, a few nights out to our favorite restaurants, an afternoon at Michelle's for snacks, minimal shopping :), trying my first crepe, and just plain relaxing. This time of year in PV, everything is dry and nearly dead after months without. Our return flight stopped in Dallas, where everythingwas green and lush, but our arrival in MSP, it again looked like PV, brown and dry with no leaves or greenery. However, the next morning, SNOW !!!
Breakfast at Daquiri Dicks.
